Arena swimwear is a brand of recreational and competitive swimwear started by Adidas France in 1973, by its president Horst Dassler. Arena uses its own fabric Powerskin designed to absorb less water and reduce drag. They specialise in swimsuits for triathlon and waterpolo, but also mass produce recreational swimwear. The Arena company and brand was sold by Adidas in 1990, and in 2007 stopped making its garments in France and moved production to China.
