Body Glove was founded at Redondo Beach CA in 1953. Twin brothers Bill and Bob Meistrell invented the very first practical wetsuit from their surf shop Dive N' Surf, and were an early adopter of neoprene. Originally called Thermocline the brand name was coined with the help of marketing consultant Duke ('Hang Ten') Boyd after the brothers told him that their wetsuits 'fit like a glove'. The Body Glove range is the full line of surfwear including shorts, tops and shirts.
