Quiksilver is the largest manufacturer of surfwear and boardsport-related equipment in the world. It was started in Torquay Australia in 1970s by founder Alan Green. Its wave logo was inspired by Hokusai's woodcut The Great Wave off Kanagawa, and shows a large wave with a mountain. Quiksilver owns and runs other brands including Roxy, DC and Hawk - and so markets proactively to surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding. It has beachwear brands including Raisins, Radio Fiji and Leilani. There is a high-end apparel and accessories brand QuiksilverEdition. The company is now based in Huntington Beach, California.
