Rival swimwear is an Australian brand started in 1993 by Brian and Corin Powell, who had already founded the active-wear brand Running Bare. After they held the licence for Arena International in Australian, they wanted to run their own Australian-made swimwear brand. As a specialist swimwear make, Rival offers garments with chlorine resistance and sun protection that deliver high performance. Rival sponsors pool competitions, triathlon & surf life saving in Australia and around the world. It is official supplier to the Uncle Toby's Ironman Series and then later the Kelloggs Nutrigrain Ironman Series, plus the Accenture Triathlon series and the Peters Beach Volleyball series.
